Carter and the snowcone....

Have you seen this spoiled rotten, cute, climbing on everything, adorable smile, getting closer and closer to terrible 2 stage kid???

Well, I have because he is getting into everything and climbing on everything. I am constantly getting him down off of the counters and out of chairs that he stands in. He is keeping me busy.

After school one day, Bryce wanted a snowcone from Bahama Bucks. I did not think that Carter would eat one, so I didn't get him one. I guess I was wrong because as soon as Bryce sat it on the counter, someone was there to pick it up. He was so proud of himself too!!

What a devious little look!!

Waterview Spring Fling.... 4/4/09

The community that we live in, hosts several events for kids each year. This year it happened to be on the same day as the 1st blastball game and Rowlett's Egg Hunt. Needless to say, we had a busy but fun day. By the time we got home to go to this, it was Carter's nap time, so he stayed home with Daddy.

They had this little train for the kids and parents to ride and it took you around the big pond at the front of the community. Bryce rode it about 4 times.

Fun on the train. What a big boy!!

I even rode once. Can you tell that this is a self portrait??? :)

This lady told jokes, a story and even did a magic show.
There was also 2 balloon artists making balloon animals for the kids. Bryce got a bunny and we got a bunny bracelet for Carter.

They had a petting zoo also. Bryce LOVES animals and was trying to pick all of them up.

He was so proud of himself for catching this bunny.

Those bunnies were fast but not too fast for Bryce!

City of Rowlett Easter Egg Hunt 4/4/09

Every year, the City of Rowlett hosts an egg hunt in downtown Rowlett. Last year was our first year to go and Bryce had so much fun and got so many eggs. They section off the areas by age and wait about 10 minutes between each age groups hunt. So I was able to see Bryce and Carter hunt eggs. They had bounce houses set up and different vendors had booths with crafts and games for the kids.

Loving on the Chick-fil-a Cow.

Waiting for the hunt to start!

Still patiently waiting...

Bryce did really good even though he was distracted by all of the costumed characters.
(There were 3 Chick-fil-a cows, 2 Easter bunnies, a duck and a hippo (from the Rowlett waterpark)

Shawn helping Carter with his eggs.

Carter ended up with 4 eggs because he kept throwing them out of his basket.

He was a little unhappy because he wanted to run around, but there were too many people.

Mr. Happy!!

Mommy and Carter!

We had a great time and I am thankful that we live in a City that does things like this for the kids.

Bryce's 1st blastball game

Bryce's team The Red Ranger's had their first game on Saturday, April 4th. It was cold and sprinkling that morning and the game started at 8:30 am, however, Bryce had a great time. It was so fun getting him dressed in his uniform and seeing him as a big boy. They do not keep score, so everyone wins. The teams bat and field 3 times during the game (if time allows). The games are 30 mintues long. Bryce had a great time. He is definitely the team cheerleader. He gets so excited for everyone. He did really good and We are SO PROUD of our big (little) boy.

Bryce singing...

Today, Bryce and I were sitting outside while Carter was sleeping. I asked him to sing some songs, from school, to me. I had to video him because it was too cute. He is singing a song in which the words are Faith is believing in a great big God, he takes care of you and me. I don't think that the other song that he sings in the video is part of this song though.

Bryce Blastball Practice....

Bryce is playing Blastball this year, which is pre T-ball for 3 and 4 year olds. He is on the Red Rangers team with a couple of kids in his class at WCA. The parents of those kids are the coaches for the team. The team has practice every Thursday night and we had our first practice last Thursday. I can tell you that it takes alot of patience to coach. The kids run in all different directions, cry when they don't get the ball or when the fall down and they play in the dirt instead of cathcing the ball. It is funny! Bryce really enjoyed the practice and afterwards Thanked his coach(without me telling him) for letting him play. Side note: Bryce is a very "thankful" kid, which makes me feel like I am doing something right. At night Bryce will come and thank me for whatever we did that day, for making him dinner or for giving him a snack. It just makes my heart melt. Anyway, Bryce's team will have an opening day ceremony and parade on Saturday and their first game will be on April 4th. Here are a few pictures from his practice.

Springbreak week...

Last week was the first Springbreak for the boys and as usual, I was unprepared. For some reason, it did not dawn on me to plan things to do until the last minute. Some of our friends went to Sea World and I don't know why I didn't think to do something like that. The weather was absolutely beautiful.

On Monday, we played outside and went to Chick-fil-a for lunch. Chick-fil-a has a great toddler play area and it is very clean.

Carter climbs up in his swing and tries to buckle himself in.

Yes, the weather was so nice, Carter ran around in just a diaper. Also, he hates getting his diaper changed or clothes on.

Tuesday, we drove to Tyler, Texas, and met Brandy, Trace and Griffin Antunes at Chuck E. Cheese. We spent about 3 1/2 hours there letting the kids play and eat pizza. The kids had so much fun. Unfortunately, Brandy and I both forgot our cameras, so I don't have any pictures.

Wednesday, I took Bryce and Carter to Jump N Jive (an indoor jump place) in Rockwall. They had an hour and a half blocked off for preschool age kids. Bryce had fun and Carter did too once he overcame his fear of the inflatables. Then, we went to Ihop (Bryce's favorite) to eat lunch. On this day, my camera battery was dead, so no pics.

Thursday, we went running errands and then ate at McDonald's for lunch. The kids played in the playland and had a great time.

Friday, we took the kids to the Ft. Worth Zoo. I must say that everyone must of had the same idea. It was so crowded. I had not been there since I was little and neither had Shawn. We had to park really far away from the zoo and hike in. Thank goodness we took our own strollers and did not wait to rent one in the zoo. Once inside, it was very crowded. It was lunch time and the kids were starving. The lines for food were extremely long, so we bought popcorn to snack on until we could get in a line and get real food. Next time, I will pack a lunch. I did not know that you could take food and drinks inside, but next time we definitely will. Bryce got to see many of the animals and we rode the train around. It was fun, but we will have to go back on a day that is less crowded.
