Bryce's Christmas Party....

Yesterday was the last day of school before Christmas break. Bryce's class had a Christmas party and Shawn and I attended. The kids are so cute and I just love Wesleyan Christian Academy. The school had Santa come and all of the kids were able to visit with and see Santa. Bryce and Carter have been to see Santa about 3 times already.

The kids in the class were asked to bring a wrapped book ($5 or less) for a book exchange. The room mom read a story to the kids and everytime they heard the word Santa, they passed their book to the right. At the end, they got to open the book that they were holding. So fun!
They made these snowman cookies and I thought that they were so cute. They are oreo's dipped in melted white chocolate. We took the cookies outside (because it was very cold) for the chocolate to set. Then the kids were able to decorate the cookies and make a face for the snowman.

The kids ate pizza, grapes, and bananas at the party. Bryce loves pizza but will not eat the crust (my favorite part).

Bryce's Christmas Program

Wesleyan Christmas Academy has a Christmas program each year for each age/grade level. There are two 3 year old classes at the school. The kids sang several Christmas songs that they had learned in music class. I was a little worried, wondering if Bryce was going to know what to do. While Shawn and I were in Hawaii, the boys stayed with my in-law's and missed school. They had also missed the week before because Bryce was sick and then we had Thanksgiving.

For the first few songs, Bryce just stood there, not singing. At about the 4th song, he finally got into it and started singing and dancing. The program was so cute!

Bryce's 1st movie at the theater....

Sorry, but there will be several posts today. We have been so busy since Thanksgiving, that I have neglected the blog. My family came in for Thanksgiving and stayed through the weekend, I worked that Sunday night, then Shawn and I left on Tuesday morning for Hawaii. We were gone for 6 days and since we came back, I have been trying to catch up. So here goes....

The Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, a group of us went to the movies to see Madagascar II. This was Bryce's first time to see a movie at the theater. The movie was really cute, but as I figured, Bryce had a hard time sitting still for that long. He was dancing in the isle, singing, and switching seats. Luckly, there were not many people in the theater and after all, it is a kids show. You can't expect too much out of the kids, right??

My poor baby....

Today was Carter's second day at Mother's Day Out. After his day Tuesday, things could only get better. Right?? Wrong!! When I picked him up today, he had a cut on his nose. When I picked him up, three teachers were standing there waiting for me. I think that they were afraid I was going to be upset with them. They just kept apologizing to me. In the classroom, they have a foam mat that is for climbing. This is the same mat that he tripped on Tuesday. Today, he climbed to the top (which it is not big at all) and fell off. The teachers said otherwise he had a good day. He was happy, ate most of his lunch and took a nap without even crying. I don't know if my poor baby is going to survive Mother's Day Out. I know that accidents happen and he is a climber, but I am hoping that next Tuesday we will be able to avoid an injury. Keep your fingers crossed.

Carter goes to Mother's Day Out....

(Here is Carter on his first day of MDO with his backpack and nap mat)

On Tuesday, Carter started Mother's Day Out at Wesleyan Christian Academy (where Bryce attends preschool) on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9-2. Well, let's just say that his day was quite tramatic for a first day. When I dropped him off, he cried of course, which I was prepared for because even at home, he cries when I get out of sight. It is funny how different things are with the second child. With Bryce, I would have been in tears myself if I was leaving him and he was crying. With Carter, I just prepare myself and know that when I pick him up, he will be happy and having fun. Well, Tuesday, Carter did not have fun. The school called at around 11:00 and said that Carter tripped on a mat and bloodied his nose. They said that they got it to stop bleeding and he was ok, but they just wanted to let me know. Then at about 12:00, they called and said that he was throwing up and I had to come get him. He was fine after I picked him up, I just think that all of the drainage upset his stomach.

Happy Halloween....

Our family! Happy Halloween!

Daddy and the little lion, Carter!

The cutest monkey that I've ever seen!

Roar! Precious little lion!
Ever seen a monkey on a tree??
Ding Dong!
Are they in there??

Trick-or-Treat!

When we were finished Trick-or-Treating, we went to Megan and Randy's to hand out candy. Carter decided to sit in the candy bowl!

Bryce loved handing out candy. He would say, "Happy Halloween", "Thank you for coming" and he told one little girl, "I love your pumpkin bag". He was so funny to watch and he loved giving out the candy to the kids. I hope that he continues to love to give.

Preschool fieldtrip to the pumpkin patch...

Bryce's preschool took a field trip to the pumpkin patch in Rowlett. We went on a hayride, had storytime, colored pumpkin pictures, they each got their own pumpkin and we had a picnic lunch. All of this was after they had a fall carnival at school that morning. The kids had a really good time. It was also good to have some Mommy and Bryce time.

More pumpkin patch pictures...

Pumpkin patch....

Today, Shawn and I took the kids to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. We had a good time although I was not prepared for all of the dirt and dust. I took the boys Halloween costumes and was hoping to get some pictures in them but decided against it due to all of the dirt. It was also very busy for a Monday evening. Here are a few pictures. It is getting very difficult to get Carter to pose for a picture, so most of the pictures are of Bryce.

Hey Bryce, Let's find a pumpkin that you can actually carry!!
The scarecrow and the witch, how cute!

Carter was a little unhappy because we were making him pose for pictures!

Carter 15 month statistics...

Carter had his 15 month check-up and everything is great!
He weighed 24 lbs and 13 oz.
He was 32 1/2 inches long.

Bryce at this age weighed 25 lbs. 3 oz and was 31 1/2 inches long.

Shawn is excited about Carter's height as he is hoping that the boys will be atleast 6 feet tall.
