Bryce's Valentine Party at WCA...

Bryce and Carter both had Valentine parties on Thursday before Valentine's Day. Carter's class asked the parents not to come to this party because it gets the kids very emotional when the parents leave. They had Valentine cookies at lunch and exchanged Valentine's Day cards.
Bryce's class, however, had a fun party and Shawn and I both went. The kids had Chick-fil-a for lunch. Then they decorated heart-shaped sugar cookies. We then played a game counting candy hearts. At the end of the party, the kids exchanged Valentine's. The kids at this age are so cute and I love being able to go to Bryce's parties.

Bryce and his teacher, Mrs. Jennifer. He gave his teachers a big filled with Hershey's hugs and kisses.

His class makes a hat to wear for every holiday. This was his Valentine's hat.

Decorating his sugar cookie. He put so much icing and sprinkles on it that even he didn't want to eat it when he was finished.

Passing out Valentine's to his friends.

Valentine's Day 2009...

This year for Valentine's Day, the boys had a couple of parties to go to. On Thursday, Bryce and Carter had a party with their class at WCA. Then on Friday, the boys went to Lisa's (our other babysitter) and had a party with the kids that she keeps.

Sweet Carter, AKA Heartbreaker, ready to go to school. In case your wondering, he has a current obsession with toothbrushes. He gathers them up and carries them around all day. Shawn and I have to hide our toothbrushes or he would get them too.
Bryce had to decorate a Valentine box for his class. I gathered some of my scrapbooking supplies and this is what we came up with. He was so excited about his box.

Little Forever.....

(Bryce came downstairs with this get up on)
I am happy to say that I am so excited about Bryce being 4 years old. His birthday was just in December, but it seems as though he is getting a little more mature and creative. I love to have conversations with him to see where his thinking is going to lead us. I also love his innocence and imagination.
The other day, I was just looking at Bryce and Carter and I was so sad because my little babies are growing up so fast. Bryce is still a Mommy's boy and still likes for me to hold and carry him. He was sitting in my lap and I gave him a hug and kiss. I asked him "Will you please stay little forever and never get big". To which he replied "yes".
Later in the day, the boys were wrestling around on my bed (a favorite thing to do) and Bryce just kicked back in the middle of the bed. I looked at him and asked, "Do you love Mommy and Daddy's bed?". He shook his head yes. (keep in mind that he sleeps with us every night... which is another post in itself) I asked if he was going to sleep with us forever, even when he got big. He replied, "I'm not going to get big, I'm staying little forever". My heart melted. How I wish that I could keep him little forever!!!!!

Bryce's 4th Birthday....

Bryce turned 4 on December 29th and once again he wanted his birthday party at Chuck E Cheese (3rd year in a row). We invited 32 kids and 16 showed up. I was very excited about the turn out. Usually, people are either out of town (still celebrating Christmas) or they are sick during this time of year. We had a great turnout though and Bryce had a great day.

We had a jungle/Chuck E Cheese themed party. Shawn and I made the cupcakes for the party.

He was a little embarassed as we all sang Happy Birthday to him!

Bryce blowing out the candles!

Mike, Maryann, Donald and Anna (Shawn's aunt and family) got Bryce his very first real Cowboy hat, boots and shirt. He was very excited and wore the hat for the rest of the day. Side note: Everytime I send him to get his shoes on, he comes out wearing the boots!

Even though he didn't feel good (found out 2 days later that he had a double ear infection) Carter had a good time too.
My mom flew in and brought my niece Madilyn. Bryce loves his Nanny and they played several games together including skeeball.

I love this picture of my mom and Bryce. Bryce (and his hat) with Madilyn and Haleigh Biggar.

Our little girl....

Gotcha... It's just Carter with a ponytail. His hair is so long, and Shawn refuses to let me cut it. It is always hanging in his eyes, so I pulled it up for him. I guess this is what our little girl would look like if we had one, minus the blue shirt of course and with a much cuter bow. Can you tell that I want a little girl!! However, it is probably not going to happen!

The many tricks of Carter....

For those of you wondering what Carter is up to these days, take a look....

He pulls all of the 50 or so blankets out of his changing table and climbs in with his brother.

Then, he climbs up and stands on the arm of the rocking chair beside his bed

So that he can flip over into his crib, which he gets hurt everytime but continues to do it. The other morning, he came running down the hall at about 7am. He figured out how to climb out of his crib. I quickly lowered the mattress and he hasn't done it again.

However, he did figure out how to do this! He pushed a chair from the dining room table to the kitchen, climbed on the island, opened the silverware drawer and sat down in it.

What am I going to do with this child??? He is an ER visit waiting to happen!!
